Today’s bike ride brought me to the end of Leg 21: The Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. Cheyenne was named the temporary state capital in 7 May 1869. Maybe they’ll make it permanent someday. Neil Diamond lived in Cheyenne as a child.
Construction on the capitol began in 1886, four years before Wyoming became a state. It took that long to finish it, so that was some good planning, I suppose.

I did 8 bike rides in August, which is a record during this so-called EarthWalk. Not coincidentally, my average daily steps were down from last year, though up from the unsatisfactory previous two months; average daily distance, though, was a near record.
This month’s wildlife was living in harmony.
