Earthwalk Day 919 (29 July 2024), 9168 km: Washington State Capitol

Real life me is back home. As expected, I mostly didn’t cover my usual distances while away, though on Wednesday I took a walk on the Delaware-Raritan Canal trail that, along with a lot of walking back and forth at camp, resulted in a record-destroying 22,142 steps for that day. That, not too surprisingly, was also the day I ended Leg 29, with virtual me arriving in Olympia, Washington, the state capital. The State Capitol, well, it looks familiar.

Look, neither it nor Olympia is really all that interesting.

Five days have passed since then and I’m 35 km further south, 16% of the way into Leg 30, near Fords Prairie and approaching Centralia.
