I’m not sure I’m supposed to be here.
My virtual self is virtually heading south, close to the Nevada state line, and right now I’m very near an Army air base. From the satellite views it looks like what I’m on barely qualifies as a track, let alone a road, and the boundaries of the Army facility are not at all clear. If you don’t hear from me again for a while, I’m probably in virtual jail.
September went well. Average daily steps were not record breaking but second highest of the EarthWalk so far, and average daily distance was a record — despite my doing only five bike rides, versus six in 2022. October’s starting off pretty well, though there’s rain forecast for the first half of next week (of course, wouldn’t want clear skies when there’s a naked eye comet in the sky, would we? Or auroras. Ahem.)
A map showing my progress is here, a spreadsheet with progress detail is here, and a Google Earth KMZ file is in this Google Drive folder. Present coordinates: 40.269°N, 120.187°W.
